High / Low Beam

My low beam headlight is ok, when I try to switch to high beam my head light flashes and it will not switch. No indicater light . Should I start looking for the problem at switch or in the light? If you have had this problem and can tell me what it may be I would appreciate it.

High heam filament in bulb is out or the connection is bad.

High beam is out I agree. And very possible melted connecter. Upgrade to ceramic if it needs replaced

I had that problem twice which resulted in melted socket. I used one of these and put a wire tie around plug and bulb holder to help hold socket tight to bulb. No problems since.

Thanks for your responses. I rode in the rain a few days before I noticed the problem. That was about a week ago, I went for a ride yesterday and the problem fixed itsself. I'm thinking it was water getting into the switch. If it comes back I will know where to look.
