Fork and tire help

I have an 02 Big Dog Pittbull that I just picked up. While doing fork seals, one of the screw on caps was damaged beyond repair because someone red locktited it on. So first question is where can I get new caps? Next question is if anyone knows the tire size for 02? For my belt to ALMOST NOT rub the tire, the rear tire has to be almost 3/4 inch out of square. The right side has to be 3/4 inch further back then the left side. The current tire is a 250, but maybe it needs a 240? The previous owner was a moron and half-assed many things that could have easily been taken care of properly so I'm guessing the tire issue might be another f-up on his part. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Hey Wrongway. Sorry it took me so long to get to you. Don't fret though. This question is in the wrong section. I will answer your questions tomorrow. I'm going to bed.

I have the '03 owner's manual and says the rear tire should be a 180/55X18. So, if that holds true on your '02 it would explain the spacing problem. Even though my info is from an '03 manual if anything I'd think the '03 would be wider than an '02 if you consider that size went to a 250 in '04 then to a 300 in '05.

Sorry, can't help you with the caps...

I called the shop in town here and was told an 02 pit wears the 250.
And then they went down to a 180 the next year? And then back to the 250 in '04?

Must be a typo in this manual 'cause I read somewhere else that the '02 had a 250... although Marty HAS a 250 and it doesn't fit?

Things make you go "Hmmmmm..." :bang:

Here is a picture of the dust cap. Any help would be wonderful!!! Thanks again! Marty
Contact BDPP and find out who made the front ends back then. I can't remember who it was but think it was Street XXXXXX. As for the tire, not sure why it's not fitting but you want to ensure it's straight/square in the frame for proper tracking.

Sorry Dr. B. I wasn't trying to step on your toes there. I'm not sure why the lit. you have said that myself. As far as the issue goes still affecting the rear tire alignment. If he had it off and the spacers were swapped?

I was starting to doubt myself for a second. My 03 mastiff has the 240. I don't know what to say about it really at this point.
