I just installed my BCT baffels in my 07 mastiff with the V&H BR's and I absolutly love the deeper tone. Now it actually sounds like a bad ass bike. My question is do you guys get growling sound when you change gears. It sounds like it did when I pulled the baffels out completely, but just not as loaud. Is it supposed to sound like that? thanks for any feed back.

Yep when you let off the gas at rpm, it's the motor trying to slow down

Any Carb Tuning?

After installing the BCT baffles, did you have to tune the carb at all?I have my stock V&H 2/2 BR baffles cut in half and not only do they sound bad,but it pops a lot on decel. Now that sucks!Sounds cheap as hell!

stuff like that is subjective, I have the original ones which to me have the sound of an unbaffled exhaust, only not as loud or rude.

Thanks, i have VH 2+2 with cut stock baffles and lookin to change out to BCT.
I would suggest you go with the original. I also had cut my baffles in half and ran it like that for several years. Did a bunch of motor work this spring so also wanted to change up the exhaust. For $80 bucks, it is a nice change and inexpensive compared to new pipes.

I put the big city thunder baffles in my 09 wolf last week with vance and hines two into two. LOUD to say the least. Deep compared to baffles from V&H but much better. Scott

Model 2002. Original not the quiet version. Was under the impression they were going to be a little quieter than V&H. Not quieter but much deeper and more aggressive sound. Takes a little getting used to when let off throttle, it growls between shifts which my daughters seem to like. I had S&S upgrade to bigger cams when the cam belt broke last month. Slowed the engine sounds down to where they should have been in the first place. Haven't noticed much increase in power from the cams and pipes but I do like the sound. Have to wait til the newness wears off the the rear tire before I push it. This is third rear tire in 12,000 miles. Avon has dc'd the rear 220 R20 that fits the Wolf and current stock tires are already 4+years old already. May have to find another tire make next tire change. Got 5600 miles out of first, and around 6000 out of second tire. Scott

Put my BCT's in last weekend (V&H 2/2). Holy crap they sound good!!! I'm normally a headphone rider and since I put them in I haven't been using the phones at all! Love listening to that "burble"!

Scott hit it dead on, growls between shifts or on quick decel. They are much louder and deeper than the standard baffles - I can tell because I'm setting off all the car alarms in the parking garage at work and that never happened before.

Anyone on the fence about these, ORDER THEM!!!

I agree. Like I said before, best $80 bucks you can spend on exhaust.

where do you drill the holes? are the holes noticable?? i am considering these baffles, but dont want my bike to look like shit, or like it was butcherd.

Go back to the 1st page & read Chopper Daves 1st thread, he has a link on how to do it. It is all done with the heat shield off so when it is put back on it still looks like new :)

BCT baffles in my V&H two into two love the sound. Nice decel growl and I put mine 6 inches in per instructions. I absolutely did not like the sound of stock V&H pipes. Now sounds great.

I just installed the BCT QQ baffles in my Vance & Hines 2:2 and Wow!!!! I bought the bike used a couple years ago and previous owner took baffles out. It was loud which I didn't mind but sounded like crap on deceleration. I was worried the QQ's would be too quiet but for me, perfect. Sounds crisp and deeper. Runs a hell of a lot better as well
