Medallion Speedometer

Returning it Saturday, if the unit is bad they'll replace it. If I installed it wrong they'll charge me for installation. Going from the instruction, I didn't install it wrong. It only required me to configure two wires. This was a no brainier compared to the Wireplus installation.

OK my Medallion Speedo is working now. I took the bike to Cycle City where I brought the Speedo and they checked the installation and found that the wires in the Speedo Hardness were missed wired from the factory. My install was correct. After they rearranged the wires and put the Speedo back on everything worked perfect. NO COST, but had to ride to Sloatburg to get this fixed. Had to pay gas and tolls for the bike and my wife's car to get this corrected. Just glad I didn't have to leave the bike.

I was more glad that it wasn't my doing and that there was something wrong with the Speedo. I don't want to be afraid of working on my own bike.

Old thread I know... but any chance someone has the instructions for setting the mileage on the Medallion speedo?

Mileage... just installed and trying to set the odometer to show accurate mileage on it.
Not happening....why would an OEM component allow for illegal tampering.
Even aftermarket speedometers only allow you to set mileage for a short period of time

Different gauges... but use the same method (holding both buttons) and that didn't work.

Right... and I'm currently at 51 miles on the new odometer. Which is why I'm trying to find the instructions to do so, so I can set it and NOT be called out for tampering with it.
Didn't know there was new ones still around. Who made it? I apologize I assumed you got a used one
Autometer made the originals not sure if they made those medallions or not

Bought it new from BDM back in January of '13... but only just installed it.
Tried calling Medallion Instruments, but they have no paperwork on file anymore as they sold the product to BDM. Of course BDM Performance Products is no longer around... and I have not had any luck with the new BD operation as of yet.
