Got a call last night BigKel on his way to Dallas for a wedding with another forum member (Keith) on the Dog. Well his starter was causing him problems. He pushed started it a few times and got the his hotel in Dallas.

Well I said come on over! I've got cold beer and parts.

He pulls in the driveway and I grab the lift and off we go. But before I said... Wait let me hear it...I said ohhh ain't nothing wrong with your starter it's the jackshaft that broke. He didn't believe me....until we pulled it out and I said you were missing some parts..lol

He got damn lucky it broke off and the part was so big it Sat on the top shelf on the primary the whole way to Dallas. We didn't even have to pull the primary cover off.

He showed up at about 11 AM and just left to the Wedding for 330. 3.5 hrs start to finish...luckily I had a spare jackshaft laying around.

I didn't get many pictures I was trying to get him back on the road to make the wedding...

Nice work Eric. This is what the forum is about.
Excellent work Eric! :old2::old2::old2:
Well let me be clear I made Kel do all the work..lol. I just fixed the starter for him.

I got to sit in a chair and watch someone else wrench. Job of supervisor is easy.

I also wanted to post because i thought it was timely to remind everyone what the roots of this forum was designed for!

None the less you opened your door to a fellow brother in need, that's what it's all about. As DrRx said "A breed apart" :old2:

You are absolutely right Eric! This is what I love about this forum, whenever someone is in need there's always someone there to reach out and help, and it is a great time to remind us all of that! Great job buddy!:old2:
