I can never get the air pressure right! What PSI should I be running? You only using a third of you tire
42psi on a 300x 18. If you need a service manual you can find them on here for just about all models.I can never get the air pressure right! What PSI should I be running?
Looks like she needs some new rubbers.. lol2006 Pitbull
Sadly, that rear tire has less than 2k miles on it. I just bought new tires from JP Cycles but haven't put them on yet.Looks like she needs some new rubbers.. lol
Thats bad! U should get at least 6k out of a tire.. idk about avon yet, I'm on my first set.. but my metzeler I was getting about 7k on the rears and that was just because they were cocked so one side would wear and the other would be just fine.. lol.. n e ways, as Paul said above 40 to 42 in the rear and about 38 to 40 in the front. I check mine about every 2 weeks or so. Good luck and be safeSadly, that rear tire has less than 2k miles on it. I just bought new tires from JP Cycles but haven't put them on yet.
I run 35 on my mastiff, gives me more contact patch. With your rigid I would suggest you run around the same, will give you some cushion and better tire wear. @dentdude36 also runs 35 I believe, he has the same bike as you. It's not what the service manual say but that's what works best for me anyway. My rear has over 7k miles on it and plenty of life left in it....could be cause I don't let the air get stale, change it often...I can never get the air pressure right! What PSI should I be running?

I'm pretty sure I am running 36 now but I will check it. I ran 36 in my first tire and it did exactly the same thing. My big ass must be wearing it out quicker!I run 35 on my mastiff, gives me more contact patch. Two weeks ago we did a benefit ride, I checked my pressure with my digital gage and thought was good to go..once the ride started my buddy pulled up beside me and said it looked low. Pulled into the gas station and grabbed my gage, checked it and told my buddy that it was good, not low. He said I should put my glasses on cause the gage says 25... yup I'm a jackass..I'm pretty sure I am running 36 now but I will check it. I ran 36 in my first tire and it did exactly the same thing. I'm fukn blind without my spectacles..and it might be helpful if they made the numbers big enough so I could read them, but then the gauge wouldnt fit it my tool bag...Haha so 25 looked like 36? WTH?
