05 Ridgeback right signal staying on

Damn man, certainly did your due diligence. If it makes you feel any better I'm going 11 years on two dogs both with original EHC. No issues at all and I'm STILL considering replacing them both with an Axel EHC. They seem to get possessed at some point. Some of us are still lucky but I'm not sure how long I want to push it knowing everything else is in tip top shape that I can trust.

I don't know what else it could be if nothing is plugged in by key switch, it's an 05 ridgeback with 17,000 on it, if I could upload a quick video to show what I mean I would that way you can see what I am dealing with.

I was called upon today to look at a 04' that had the original EHC in it and it wasn't updated because it only did 1 sweep of the speedo.

Those 04 had a recall on the harness... If it's the regular old connector and no extra piece check the connection.

Mine failed you could push down on the harness and bike would run as soon as I let my hand off it would die. I actually zip ties the connector down to the EHC and that held it in place until I got the WP in that winter.

Yes I only get ground on 2 black wires, just to be sure I didn't miss anything I unplugged all backbone plugs, except key, also unplugged rear light plug and still blinks...
IF you unplugged EVERY rear plug then there is no way it could blink.... ALL the wires would be disconnected. I think you will still have the problem even with Doc's new EHC.... I'd bet your problem is in the right hand control.... Shorted out wire....

Good to know!!! It says 2-3 hours to install, that's fine I just want the bike to be good when I ride it and not have to worry
I think you should plan on a little more time than that, just take your time. If you still have a problem after you install DOC's,
I will take a ride and pay you a visit.

Thank you very much I appreciate it, I did change the control boards on the bars, if it still happens, at lest I have a new DOC ESC and know that is not the problem. And no need to come to me I'll ride to where your at.

I unplugged rear plugs and all backbone plugs except key switch. How I know that it blinks is because I get the blinking fault led on the ehc. So there is no power going up the backbone to the the board or lights. I'm not saying the turn signal lights up I can tell the ehc is telling it to blink because of the blinking led fault light on the ehc. If it didn't send the signal from the ehc to blink the turn signal the fault led light would not flash.

Simple fix.... Pull the turn signal bulbs and use your hands to signal like I still do....

Also, since the turn signals are tripped by a ground, the wire in the handlebar for the turn signal may be shorted out in the bar where it goes through.

Looks like I will be getting DOC ESC today, as soon as it gets here I'm going to start the install. If there isn't one already, would anyone mind if I post pictures and write up of the install? To help anyone else that is getting one and any issues I run into.

Update.. installed DOC ESC yesterday, as I was just about finishing up the connections I realized I didn't take any pictures to show anything. My apologies for that, but to be honest this install is so easy. The hardest part is taking apart the headlight and if you can do that the install is cake. There is no cutting or drilling. The only connector you eliminate is the headlight, it comes with a continuous wire from the ESC. Every wire in the new kit is lettered and tells you where they go. The new power and backbone harness are all taped up and ready to to, I had no problem at all putting the harness in the backbone. I am happy to say EVRY issue I had is gone! Thank you to all who helped me with tracking down the problem. If anyone has any questions on install or wants pictures I would be happy to help anyone.
