Pipes look good Gil, I like them wrapped!SHOUT OUT TO:
@EMILIO aka spider for the great deal on the luggage rack.
Kevin aka @dentdude36 for the laf pipes I just put on this morning.
Jason aka @jjarkys for the saddleman bag I just got today.
Oops.... can't forget
Rick aka @ROCKETDOG for the stock mean mother's pipes (not on the bike cause I don't have the bracket, but eventually).
The kindness and generosity of the members of this forum is frickin OUTSTANDING!!!
Looking forward to the day I can meet you all. Thank you!View attachment 50333

Did you try readjusting your carb settings? I did and the decel pops have all but gone. I will also be checking my jet numbers, but too many honey do’s today.Love'em, they sound great except on decel then it gets a lot of popping. I expected some but I think I'll be checking the jets(don't know what's in it at the moment) but I'll be going with what Kevin was running.
The BIG thing I like is that the pipe is away from my right heal... I don't want to burn out another pair of converse.
I got'em on this morning and wanted to run the hell out of it but... it's been raining all day.... bummer.

Gonna be difficult to eliminate decel pop with short open pipes near impossible
Looks great John! Couple questions: Which Carnuba wax did you use and unrelated.... is your license plate mount the standard BDM? Reason I ask is I like how you have the plate parallel to the frame. Most including mine is more perpendicular to the ground. Thanks! Here's a few pics after using the recommended "Carnuba" wax that DentyDude said to use, my camera sucks the big one, but it looks great in person!

Folding license plate bracket is best modification I made to my bike.
Just checked my jets, 31/76 here Gil, I believe those will be okay. I’ll rebuild the carb at some point and should be fine.Oops, didn't even occur to me.... thanks, I'll do it in the morning after I check the jet sizes.
Flip itI used Mothers Carnuba wax, and yes my license plate holder is the original, I don't like it though, I frigg'n run into the damn thing all the time working on the bike, sometimes I'll have one of my drawers open and I'll back into the little fuk'r! I am waiting to break it off so I can justify buying a folding one!
You know when I looked at it I don't see how it will work? Are you sure "all" of them can be flipped?Flip it
It's possible, being that it's an 09, that it is a one piece bracket. If not, you will have to drill and counter sink the new holes. They are premarked on the plate. If it the one piece bracket, you can get a folding one from the Kaptin. You know when I looked at it I don't see how it will work? Are you sure "all" of them can be flipped?
