2009 bdmc wolf died

Energy One
I pulled into a gas station and when I went to start it I accidentally cracked the throttle a hair bit as I was pranking it made it backfire and then just spun over real freely I got it home by way of tow truck. I looked at the THC and noticed that the power light which is yellow is steadily on. Across is green flashing light aka controller on.. when I turn key on all ehc lights turn on and then off and the yellow and green light as mentioned earlier stay on. X even as I spin motor no lights change on ehc. I have spark and feul but no startEHCFaultleds-1.jpg

check your compression releases.
Does it sound like its trying to start at all?
When you checked for spark, did you check that the engine is turning over not just the starter spinning/ primary moving?
Do you have compression?

I believe that your motor has a timing belt / belts.
I would be checking the belt.

Paul.
and I believe the early ones did have problems with the belts. not too many of the Wolfs around so not that much knowledge about them.

Your motor is still turning over and your pistons are going up and down mowing air in and out the spark plug holes and
your ignition would still be working normally.
Just take the cover off and have a look at the belt and replace it even if it is ok.
Those belts have a tendency to break from heat of the motor.

If you have compression tester measure your compression.
If the belt is broken the compression will be very low or none.

One of the old ones.
Pauly is right as rain--just look at the belt to see if it's broken (if that is the issue). Take off the cover. If it needs replaced, you should put a couple of washers on the cover when re-assembling it. That allows air to dissipate the heat. They added the spacers in later production...very simple and effective fix. Be sure to clarify the timing procedures with S&S or a manual.
The good thing is that the pistons do not contact the valves when that happens, so you just have to replace the belt, and add the washers.
Call S&S (608-627-1497). In 2015 there was an X-Wedge specialist named Brent at X1242. Or ask for Chris Clemens...they are always happy to help.
As I recall, instead of compression releases, is a variable camshaft that incorporates a bump to the valve when starting, then shifts to normal camshaft lift and duration when the engine starts. If memory serves me correctly, the earlier 121's did not have that cam. Again, someone at S&S should be able to tell you if your engine has the improved cam or not. I would plan to install one if yours does not.
