Anyone know where to pick up 2 Primary Engine Screws?

As you all know, I've had this bike for a very short time. I figured that I would change out the primary oil and, while I was at it, I'd change the gaskets in the primary. I've had a small oil leak on the primary side and thought it might be a cracked and leaking gasket set. So I ordered one from HDM Inc. I drained the oil and removed the cover and was about to remove the inner primary, when I noticed that the two primary engine screws were missing. Anyone have a place (or know the thread pitch) so I can replace the missing 2 screws? It's item #35 on the attached page. Thanks in advance!

If you go a few pages further in the manual, it will have the parts list and tell you exactly what part 35 is usually.
I'm sure Th3Imfamous1, Mr Wright and Knothead know most likely off the top of their heads.

My manual only lists the length depending on offset, no thread size.

I see that it shows the item, but its about as generic of a description as you can find. 'Primary engine screws 1-1/4" for zero offset primary, 1 1-2" for 1/2" offset primary.'
Wish there was a thread pitch attached to the description.

You should be able to get these through JP Cycles.

Also check: it looks like dowels may go in those areas, to take the stress off the bolts. Alignment is super critical, so as NOT to break the motor-ring off the case.

All the inner primary bolts are the same 5/16-18

I found the description on bigdogisback.com under their parts finder. They are item #18 & #22. Anyone know if these are shoulder bolts or full thread?

If you measure the bolts and know exactly what you need, boltdepot.com has a pretty good selection for our bikes

Hello Everyone, New member here and a new owner of a 2006 K9... anyway... I have a oil leak from the outer primary... I ordered a new "0" ring gasket but to me it is not thick enough but when I talked to the Big Dog parts guy he saying that it's the right gasket but it is still leaking... has anyone else here have this same issue? and a fix??

and no there are not any cracks in the case... seems like when going back together it metal on metal... I am at a loss here on what to do...

Double check that all the bolts are properly tight. (just a thought). That outer primary gasket isn't much bigger than an average size rubber band and can be a pain in the butt to get laced into the grove of the cover sometimes.

I have never had an issue with them, even reused them 5 or 6 times.

you could try laying a bead of silicone in the grove then laying the square O ring over it.

Another possibility, actually happen to me, is the inner primary was actually leaking, but appears is was the outer.

More difficult to change but those have a bunch of O rings behind it that will get old a leak sometimes.
