Rear wheel misalignment

Thank you for the kind words about my bike but actually the red and black bike is a 2009 Bigdog Bulldog Anniversary Bagger. It's close to the Mastiff but has shocks like a Harley Dyna and a single arm swingarm.
Here is my Mastiff

And if you look under the Mastiff in this picture you will see the jack I use to lift the rear end off the table lift.

Very cool, it looks like the mastiff would be hanging off the rear of that Harbor Freight lift if you hadn’t made your modifications especially using a good wheel chick like you’re using. Thanks again for all the photographs. I’m not gonna start disassembling until I get the parts in my hands, if they’re still available. If not I’ll have to tear the bike down and have that frame adjuster made it a machine shop, because chances are that frame adjuster is gold and seized and that’s why it’s all chewed someone trying to adjust the swing arm. I’ll keep you posted. Don’t hesitate to send anything else to me that you think might be helpful, you’ve already cleared up quite a few things involving this future repair. Thank you again!!!!!

JayDawg, the HF table lift is more than able to handle the Mastiff. Get their grey wheel chock also. Small scissor jack for the bike and ur in business. I use the HF lift table and put the Pitbull or Chopper on it with never an issue.

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
I have had everything from gold wings to Big Harley baggers on my harbor freight lift. This K9, which is over 9 ft long just came off the lift.

I have this Mastiff on the left right now

And yes I use an A-frame quite a bit for lifting the bikes while they are on the lift. Like if I'm changing shocks or have to reposition a jack.

Well it seems many of you on this forum use the HF lift. I was wondering how I was going to shift the Jacks around while I am removing the shocks and rear swing arm and then I saw how Mr. Wright used the gantry to facilitate. Unfortunately I do not have the room for the gantry

Very nice set up, nice bikes. Thanks for the photographs, I wish I had the room for the gantry but I’m gonna have to find another means to move those scissor lifts under the bike while I’m removing the shocks and the swingarm.

In that case get 2 small jacks for front and rear. Dont need a crane to change shocks....its way easier, but I did the Chopper on the lift....no crane. Aint gonna lie n say it was a breeze, but with some patience it can done.

Honestly its not that bad once you start. I think it took my a full day after starting about 9 am on it. Think I took the brake caliper off first, then the exhaust, then the cutch rod cover, then starter, then took belt loose, removed shocks from bike and redid the oil and preload washer, then put back on the bike side leaving swingarm side free, then rear tire and as I was taking pivot bolt out on belt side is when I seen the frame moving out with the turns I made and that is when it hit me where that frame adjuster was set at and where it should have been. went ahead removed both bolts, turned pivot shaft around and adjusted, then put bolts back in, adjusted frame adjuster and started putting it all back together. Now granted you are planning on having a frame adjuster made so yours will take longer of course. But half a day to tear down, half a day to put back together.

I definitely plan on taking my time, I saw that the maintenance manual that requires me to remove the oil tank also. Donna got back with today and said they have what I need. So I am waiting the price estimate. Then I’ll probably have the frame adjuster powder coated as close to the black cherry color as I can. I saw the price on that harbor freight table left has double to $600 in the last four years, but it is still the most inexpensive table left on the market that I can find

I have the same lift. Yes it has a rod that goes through the lift after it is up. I had my bike on it for months.

The manual says to remove the oil tank but I'm letting you know you actually don't have to. You don't even have to remove the rear fender. Everything you are about to do, I've done. The reason it says to remove oil tank is to get to pivot shaft, you can do the same thing by removing the exhaust, clutch push rod cover and starter. A hell lot easier than the oil tank and the lines.

Did you trust this lift to keep your bike up for days? Did it lock into position, To keep the load off the hydraulic cylinder?
Yes it locked (pinned) and I did have on there for about 1 1/2 or 2 days as the jack belongs to a friend and I was doing this task in his garage and was unable to finish on the first day and had to go back later and finish up.
