Circuit breaker wiring

I have a 2004 big dog ridgeback and just need some wiring information. What wires go to the circuit breaker and what wires come off the circuit breaker to where.

On my 03 chopper one goes to the regulator and one to the + battery.the breaker is marked which one to battery

Thats why we all here. I think most have found the Pound when we had issues. Get that Dog sorted out and come hang out @ The May Thang in Tenn. We mostly a bunch of old guys who like to ride.

Yes it is between the reg. and the battery. It is a little confusing on the marking thought. The one labeled battery should hook to the regulator it's more positive than the battery. Power flows from reg. to battery.

It is not noted on the wiring diagrams but an additional Circuit Breaker should be put between the EHC and the Positive side of the battery. The reason for the additional Breaker is that the original design only protects the Battery and the EHC from a short or an over-current from the VR, but it does not protect the EHC from the Battery if it should short. Yes, batteries can short and take out the EHC with it.
If your EHC isn't failing I would just install the extra CB and wait until the EHC gave me a reason to replace it. Lot's (if not Most) electrical issues get solved using the expertise of our members without the need for EHC replacement.
