If you're replacing the EHC soon, you're going to replace all the charging system anyway and it'll come with a wiring diagram and new breakers for that setup. Assuming you're getting the best one from wild steed works

Sorry, didn’t know of that company. I got one coming back hopefully warranty from Ross cycles. I got it new but after I got it wired in except for the ground wire, there were some steps from the manufacture to program it but didn’t feel comfortable Doing it so I returned it to have it factory programed and when they went to program it they found it to be no good. I never even had any power to it so I don’t know what happened. Hopefully they will replace it due to it being defective. I have to wait for their response from the manufacture. It comes from a company in Germany

It is not noted on the wiring diagrams but an additional Circuit Breaker should be put between the EHC and the Positive side of the battery. The reason for the additional Breaker is that the original design only protects the Battery and the EHC from a short or an over-current from the VR, but it does not protect the EHC from the Battery if it should short. Yes, batteries can short and take out the EHC with it.
If your EHC isn't failing I would just install the extra CB and wait until the EHC gave me a reason to replace it. Lot's (if not Most) electrical issues get solved using the expertise of our members without the need for EHC replacement.

There is a 25 amp inline fuse on the positive wire in the EHC from the factory installed

WSW carries the EHC from Axel. He designed and executed production for us. I have one of his in my 04 Pitbull. Works flawless and is programmable as well.
