Intake manifold bolts...who designed this?!

Energy One
This is a HORRIBLE setup lol I'm sitting here with my allen wrench turning the bolts like 1/8th of an inch at a time to get those things out. The giant overhanging valve covers don't make it any easier. Who in the heck designed this setup?

On a serious note, I'm guessing to make it easier to reinstall them, or uninstall in the future, longer ball end allen wrenches might make it easier? Is there any way to get any sort of torque figure on these?

Some after market parts houses offer intake manifold allen wrenches, with the ball ends at an angle.

With the Pits, its a bit easier to pull the tanks and coil cover to gain access.
I have the coil cover off so I could get to the 2 bolts holding the carb to the manifold, but I may have to check out what's involved in pulling the tank since it's already drained to clean out the crud from the petcock.
