Thanks I’ll do that but half the time the only way I can start it is with the slam button. All your guises help is appreciated. I just got it this weekend, so I’m trying to fix all these little crap. You may want take your slam button off and inspect inside the solenoid to be sure your contacts are not burnt too badly contributing to your problem. The easiest way to test your voltage to the solenoid is to remove the green wire and put a meter on it while you hit the run then start button. You should hear your compression releases click and at the same time see the volts on the green solenoid wire jump to 12volts. If your getting the 12 vdc your problem is in the solenoid .
I might as well ask this question right now to if it’s the silanoid annoyed, do you buy a rebuild kit or a sylinoid annoyed??Thanks I’ll do that but half the time the only way I can start it is with the slam button. I hope you can understand that I was voice texting and my phone hates meI might as well ask this question right now to if it’s the silanoid annoyed, do you buy a rebuild kit or a sylinoid annoyed??
Thank you that sounds simple enoughYes you can get rebuild parts.
As AWG pointed out the fact that your bike has a slam button at all would indicate that it was added (not stock) as a workaround for the starter not cranking when the start button is depressed. Unplug that green wire and hit the run then start a few times and you will get familiar with the click sound of the Compression Releases as apposed to a click sound down by the starter solenoid.
If your hearing the CR's every time you hit run/start your board is not the problem because the start button triggers both actions CR's and Solenoid.
