You get those pipes on yet, Ernie?

No not yet I'm waiting until the temps go below 90f LOL, and I got some bug while traveling the last couple of weeks. I will probably get them on within the next week. I remember watching the video they had up of your bike running and thought man that really sounds good with those pipes. The stock pipes are ok but just OK. The previous owner did not clean the engine much so I will be working hard on that also , I have about half of it really clean.

I have been looking into different style stereos also. Its a simple setup but not a lot of room in there. Maybe over the winter I can go to some shows and get some ideas and talk to some techs and see if they have any advice on what can be done.

If the stereo is working, I wouldn't replace it. That's a marine-grade Alpine, which should be a very good unit. It probably just needs a good set of speakers and an amp, if you want it louder.

My head unit got to a point it would play for a few minutes and then cut off lose its memory settings and then come back on. You can replace it with any half din head unit. I went a little over board with my replacement. I bought the UD-755 yacht head unit. lol. But it has a fold down face and a slot to put your phone in and a charging port in the slot. It connects either bluetooth or 3.5 mm jack thru your phones ear phone jack. It has pre amp out puts for installing an amp. I went to a local stereo shop and bought a amp and mempis marine grade 5.25 speakers, but if i can find a place local to do it I'm thinking of having 6.5 component speakers installed. My radio is LAF now tho. At 70 down the interstate I can hear every word and the music, but the 5.25 speakers don't carry the bass to well that loud. Tried posting pictures and video but says wrong format for video and picture files are to large.

Thanks so much for sharing that Stereo info. I looked at several youtube videos where some Harley bikes had 5.25 inch speakers and there was some kind of bracket underneath the fairing they installed that allowed them to install 6.5 speakers but I think they had a lot more room. I am sure it can be done some how , you just have to find the right shop or speakers. There are a lot of really good marine head units out there so I will be looking around this winter for something. I think the Alpine unit is ok but not great and it is 10 yrs old and out dated.

Theres one guy on here and i have his number he had told me about a place in WI that he had taken his bike to he has a 2010 bulldog and they put a touch screen marine grade headunit in and 6.5 subs and tweeters in his fairing and a amp. He sent me the link to the video the shop made. If i can find his text ill post the link.

Yeah robert. I know him as Rob. Lol. Didnt know he sold the bike tho. And from what i understand almost the whole inner fairing was made to make room for the headunit, amp and they had to build something custom to add the speakers, wasnt just bolt the adapter in and install speakers.

Man that is fantastic! If I lived closer to that shop I would take it there for sure. Hey Cruz you got any close up pics of the setup?

I only have the outer fairing with the kenwood stereo that was installed and a new fabricated face. Not to sure what had to be done inside fairing to accommodate the 6.2 looks like they just did the 5.5-6.5 speaker adapters and added a jl audio hx280/4 amp
Thanks and it looks like they added tweeters on either side of the stereo.
