Bike shut down after 40 miles.

I picked up the HD AMG Battery. Installed it tonight and tomorrow we will see what happens..:2thumbs:

OK another update... and FYI I always have the tender on it if it sits more than a day.. So after the positive ride last night i rode to work today (the long way) 10-12 miles no problems. 1/4 mile out of work on the way home..... Quits. :angry: But this time i took the seat off and looked at the EHC and ALL the lights are on solid cycle the key and back to normal. picking up the battery tomorrow... and I think I might pm Ohmster..

I had an ehc do that to me (all the lights on) Turned the key off and all the lights stayed on along with the running lights speedo lights and the neutral light lit.

Had to disconnect power to the ehc to reset it but it happened again. Replaced the ehc and all seems good for now.
Trying to convince the owner to slap in a Wire Plus system and bury the ehc in a small, shallow, unmarked grave. I'd rather have a system that works than one that diagnoses itself when you already know it's screwed up.

Yep -- there are several of us with exactly that plan for the next failure. We've each replaced at least one EHC and at >400 bucks a pop, the cost of rewiring is easily recovered.

Question now is who will do it first? :lol:
