Bike wouldn't start this morning...

:flag: I agree with Gas Man, just bought my dog from son,a 2001 Prosport and he says never touch anything just starter,it worked for him. BUT I have an older dog with TP motor,me thinks your newer dogs are different,be careful with enricher. Just my thoughts! Woodysan:hi:

Yup, I'll check those in the morning - make sure things are cool...

By the way - is there a rule of thumb on when you actually have to prime the bike with the throttle before starting? I mean, I know if I pull over at the convenience store, stop for about 5 - 10 minutes, I can just start it right back up without having to juice it up first with the throttle. Is it like 30 minutes, hour, 2 hours.... ???? Just curious when most folks feel it's time to give the throttle a couple of turns before starting and when it's ok just to try to start it .... ? :confused:

:hi: if it has been long enough for the engine to have completely cooled down,(couple of hours) maybe a light blip or two. first try it without hitting the throttle. if it doesn't crank, then blip the throttle. remember, if you don't hit the throttle, you're not putting too much fuel in the carburetor, which is a good thing. glad to hear you got it started without a problem.:cheers: :2thumbs:

Now i have always used the enrichener (at cold start up) and only had a plug issue 1 time and that was when i first got the bike.. You know "you just have to start it for everyone who comes out of the garage to look at it" :2thumbs: then i let it sit over night "with no tender" :bang: :bang: newbie mistake. went to start it and flooded it right away... probably more due to a low battery.. :rant: i will definitely try it without the enrichener when i get it back from the "VET" That's going to be a whole thread in it self... in the rate your dealer section... :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: Yes i gave American Cycle Mistake 1 more chance the last one :angry: John

Thats right John.....just like Gas Man said.....tell them Chris & Dave sent ya....and the new service manager is Rob...he is a pretty cool guy....and the Big Dog tech is Doc.....Chris and I both have talked to Doc alot....as a matter of fact...I have to call Doc tomorrow for my update on my scoot...:whoop:
But from everything I have heard....about ACMistakes....I would give Full Throttle a shot....

I was going to take it to Full throttle and from now on i will.... but i had all ready contacted BDM in December about an out of warranty replacement of my EHC and said i was going to take it to acm Then i find this forum and start to wonder.
But i thought hay the lousy service write up guy / manager is gone this new guy cant be as bad?? WRONG:rant: i also had rick in parts @acm preorder the EHC to reduce the time in the shop well the part was there when i dropped off the bike and today it is still there ... but not on my bike yet :angry: and Rick the one guy that i thought i could trust there ...... gone quit moved on...
I called BDM and explained to them what was going on and within 10 min they called me back "BDM" and said it will be ready mid week.. customer service at BDM is outstanding..:2thumbs:

hey John.....I spoke with Doc today from Full Throttle.....I told him about you...said a guy named John might be calling....I didn't know your last name...so like Gas said...if you call up there and ask for Doc or Rob or Michelle...just tell them that Chris and Dave sent ya:up:

Well i think Chris was the Liar oops :roll: i mean writer that was there last year when it took 3 weeks to replace my ignition switch :angry: "The key fell out while i was riding it" Waiting for parts was the excuse... I ended up talking to Mike and he had them pull one out of a stock unit ....
The liar :roll: "did it again" now is ..... Jeremy ... lets all give him a hand .... Here is just a sample of Fridays Visit. says he downloaded info from EHC BUT can't seem to find his copy."LIE" and the tech that has it on his computer is in a mood and wont print it right now "LIE" but i did send it to BDM "last week""L I E". I asked if he sent it to BDM cant he just e-mail it to me as well??? He says he printed it and MAILED it to BDM snail mail yea right LIE I called BDM while in the lot... they had received nothing.
So to answer your question Chris... I think they are Brothers :whoop: :2thumbs: :) John

I purchased the air line for the gauge and the pump bracket from Full Throttle... they had to order from BDM and i still had them in 1 week :2thumbs:
I definitely want to ride out there as soon as weather permits

Chris was a Bartender on the weekends and this one is training for the UFC... Why cant this place get someone that is into BIKES to be the service representative. :bang:
