Carbs float stuck

Hello, new member here. My float stuck on my bigdog bulldog and dumped gas into my motor. I tried to start it not knowing it and gas shot out of the exhaust, I immediately stopped cranking, I think it was hydro locked up, I've drained the front lower part of the engine but haven't tried to start it yet, what do I do next?

if gas came out of the exhaust,it was not hydro-locked.
I assume you pulled the (never pull) plug on the bottom of the crankcase.
replace it very carefully because it is a taper plug and can crack your crankcase.
If it turned over then pull the plugs and crank it .
fix the carb problem ,then start it as normal.
btw the petcock has a shut off position that prevents that ( not busting your chops )

Yeah, I m a great carpenter but suck at mechanic work, I had the petcock replaced because it was leaking and forgot to shut it off for about 15 minutes. I got about 2
quarts of gas out of the plug I guess I wasn't supposed to pull, I guess the next thing I need to do is like you said, pull the plugs and turn it over. Love my bigdog,

Also, when I first tried to start it it would barely turn over like a dead battery. I just finished charging it so I know it wasn't dead, that's why I was thinking hydro locked

Leave the plug in. Here's what I'd do.
1. Pull the spark plugs.
2. Set the trans in top gear.
3. You are walking out to the road or where a lot of weeds are.
4. You are going to let the clutch out as you run with the bike.
5. Hydraulic lock will C the connecting rod because you can't compress liquid...Did you run on the plug side that the plugs are out of? We on the correct side on the push?
6. I'd say no more than 4 yards if not less is the rolling distance with clutch lever out.
7. Pull the oil bag dipstick out and how high did you fill it? Usually some long clear tube from home depot is that line from the bottom of the sink to the back of the fridge for water and ice. Drain the gas/oil in said container.
8. Roll back out and keep filling the bag.
9. When you pump out the crankcase, there will be very little in the bag and now you can drain the bag.
10. Install fresh oil in and take it for a ride. Drain the oil on the return. Gas is a detergent, you'll have a clean crankcase, lines, etc. Top off the oil again and if you rather drain it again, no problem.

Carb needle might be stuck open. Use gunk brand carb cleaner and spray the seat and clean the needle with the spray. Use a proportion of something like seafoam just to work the carb varnish off the parts while riding. Only plug you removed was the oil bag and a few oil filters if not leave the contaminated one on and that second oil run-thru will purge the gas and mix with the second round.

Alright, I pulled the plugs and turned it over, put the plugs back in and turned on the petcock . It fired right up, I ran it almost out of gas after turning the petcock back off and everything went great. Thanks for your advice. It worked perfectly! I also run non ethanol gas in it as much as I can

It might be a good idea to change your oil again and especially the filter. You don't need residual gas in your crankcase playing with your bearings.
It sounds like your float is sticking and your overflow is clogged. Drop your bowl and have a look my guess is it's in need of some tender loving care.
