Did I fry my ignition module?

Energy One
Well briefly, after you remove the thunderheart module and the stock ignition. You basically install the new ignition just like the old one, run the harness up under the seat drop off 2 of the wires then feed the remaining 3 through the backbone to the coils. The 2 wires under the seat are one for the voes which you just tape off, and the other will be for the tach. The last 3 wires will be for the backbone. Once wired all you have to do is static time the motor to get it running then either take it in for a good tune on a dyno or try it yourself. The hardest part will be getting the motor mount, coils, coil brackets all mounted up.

BUt even if he just replaces the old bdm unit with another bdm unit (thunderheart to thunderheart) he'll still have to static tune it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Static tune is no problem, I have a buddy who can help me with that and I'd like to learn anyway. I only need to see something done once. What it really comes down to is I'm anxious to get the bike on the road. I had to rent a Fatbob over the weekend to get to the show I was getting my bike ready for. I felt like I was riding a minibike!

2007 bigdog pit bull does anyone know how to replace ignition. I had the bike for 2 years and replaced the complete wiring with module. Now again no spark. The shop that replaced it gave no warranty because knew it was going to last.
Got power (12.5v) at the coil, and at all places above. Module has a black mark on the side from where it hit the battery, so I guess that's all she wrote. So what's a new module cost? A friend recommended I ditch the Big Dog part and just go with a new Crane ignition. He says the whole setup will run about $450? BTW thanks for all the help guys, I'd be lost without this forum.
Is the crane ignition better and is it easy to install??

Welcome from NJ,
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure you will get a couple of different opinions on this site from people who have tried different ones.
My advice would be to verify the module is your problem before buying a new one. Go to "Engine cranks but won't start" in this Chart and try to isolate your issue. https://www.dropbox.com/s/awp20t55uywsqcu/08diagflowcht.pdf?dl=0

Just went through this very problem yesterday. Ended up being the wire from the ignition module to the coil terminal had broken at the ring terminal . Hooked it back up and on the road again ! Hope your problem is as simple and inexpensive!
