Fuses For 07 K-9

It's fine if you have the fuse instead of the circuit breaker - but I don't think it came from the factory that way. I bet the dealer thought the VR issue applied to the new bikes too, and replaced the CB with the fuse even though it was not necessary. Just my guess.

Through all of this some have talked about carrying extra fuses...... Well if the fuse blows it is "usually" due to a short or in our case probability a failed VR. sooo what will the extra fuses do if the VR is shorted??? They will pop as you plug them in ..

I confirmed with my local dealer that no 2007 bikes came from the factory with a fuse - they all came with the circuit breaker. If Sun_Bill's K-9 has a fuse, it must have been unnecessarily exchanged for the CB by the dealer. (That won't hurt anything - it was just unnecessary, because the service bulletin was limited to earlier years.)

ATO or MAXI fuses are available at any parts stores...Fords use alot of the MAXI fuses
