Yea my buddy said the same thing :roll: So i told him i was going to ride it around the block when i got home and pull up in his drive :roll: :roll:

CDave: VR Recall, Fender strut bolt recall and tighten my drive belt for a chirp noise. that's why i wanted to ride it before i paid them to make sure the chirp was gone.. :up: Nice to have it back home..

Oh yeah, sorry guys. I did ride ALOT today because it was about 75 degrees with the sun brightly shining. (Think I'm sunburnt) Damn it's hot. I have the A/C on in the house...... :lol: :lol:

OK i got out in the garage to replace my Headlight bucket today due to some damage that My tool bag caused....:angry:

also had some bubbling chrome.

so with all the difficulty i have heard about removing the outer ring i thought i would try some two sided tape.. "the kind that hold badges and nameplates on cars and it worked great

four pieces and just twist with even pressure.

also found the bulb connector ground wire melted so we will have to replace that before it is reasembled..

just thought I would pass this on as another disasembly option..
And GasMan I would like to use the inner ring tool to reasemble :up:

Yea i was pretty pissed when i saw what the buckle did to the bucket.. but i already had a new one due to the bubbles in the chrome:up: However my upper triple tree has a wear mark in it from the Leather... that i can't get out:bang: :bang: Maybe some new ones next down time like in about 10 months... and yes the bag now goes on the down tubes.

And any of you boys that want the wave headlight and don't like the stock mounting... in about 2 weeks Cav will have a nice newly designed one for them!!
