Is it getting good spark?
Has the battery been on a tender.
Please don't say you are using the choke or enrichener?

Also might want to do a intro, who, where, what and pics of your girl or wife :D

i have the same bike they are hard ta start in cold weather!!! put ur battery on a charger get a full charge If its cold ass hell out (like 30deg) go inside an wait til spring then give her two twists of the throtle and start her up!you should not have ta use the enrincher it will just flood ur bike and/or foul your plugs!!! plz do an intro and lets see that dog!!!!

I also have an 07 Mastiff and it acts the same way. Mine is the most cold natured thing I've ever dealt with. It may sound crazy but I take a little space heater and set up next to the engine for about 15 - 20 minutes before I'm going to start it and warm it up a little bit. It starts right up after I do that. I know it sounds crazy but it works for me.

This may sound really crazy...but at 2500 miles I changed my oil from dyno to Mobil 1 full synthetic for V-Twins. I also installed the K&P filter from Don. There was an immediate difference in the speed the engine turned (turns) over. Before then, the engine would barely turn over, then kinda stop/hesitate, then turn over a time or two and fire up. (When it did that pause thing my heart would kinda skip a beat because I was always unsure if it would continue). After the oil change and every since...when you hit the starter button the engine spins like a mother and fires right up. I do a couple of throttle twists...and do not use the enricher. NGK iridium plugs. Engine is noticeably cooler as well..although I have not put a temp gauge on it. Good luck.

OK the "Choke" is putting alot of strain on these batterys
and fouling plugs quicker that you can replace them

Like on the other thread on here was everyone taught to do a Compression release?
Turn Key on Press Off then press Run then hit the Start button?

OK make sure your battery is good and giving enough amps out best way is to have it on a battery tender.

Just like your woman it may take a while to come back to life just work with us and we will have you enjoying the ride again.

do not use the enricher it will only flood the motor, its sounds like that is what you have done,at 50 degrees there is no reason for it,2 maybe three twist is all you need, also keep the throttle closed while cranking, get some new pluggs and try without the enricher, pull the plugs connect to the wires crank over see if you have spark:cheers:

changing the plugs wont make the motor crank over!!! pulll the plugs.... crank it over w/o them in does it turn over better-worse-same??? its possiable your de- compression valves are not working!!

If the battery is good and the motor is turning over... You need to drain the gas out of the carb. The small amount of gas in the float bowl will go bad fast when a bike sits.

i have seen similar things . so it does not sound crazy. little things like that make a difference. but often overlooked because they are so simple. yet very effective under the right circumstances
