Ok can't start our 2001 mastiff

These S&S 107's without compression releases take a lot of juice to start. They are hard on batteries and starters. Mine was getting hard to start so i got a new battery. Still would barely turn over. Got a new, better, starter from Wildsteedworx and problem solved. Definitely get a Braille battery or similar. As previously mentioned, check the charging system for proper function.

Yes been looking at new batteries we are in new zealand. Have been told to get a lithium battery. Is that correct.

There are battery discussions on this forum you may want to check out. Most seem to favor Braille Harley (Deka), andTomioka brands.

Mmmmmmm ok I may have to buy from overseas then. There was a guy on here from nz who has a big dog and he has a deka and has had no problems with it. May get that first.

Is Harley made by deka? I know the 20 series used in my seadoos are less cca than HD batteries the Dekas are in 200s for cca for our seadoos

Yes, Harley batteries are made by Deka
Many swear by them.

I think original big dog batteries were 270 so your may be to weak but don't quote me

They are different, the Mutt is a cheaper version of the Mastiff
