Problem with the dog...not sure how to describe.

I'm happy to hear your dog is back on the streets, and thanks for keeping us posted on all the trouble shooting you did. I'm gonna put a wrench on my motor mounts right now!!!

sounds good - remember though that if he just tightened the nuts he has broken the loctite seal. Might be worth removing, cleaning etc

Damnit! Can't win for loosing with this thing. This is the bike of my dreams, and it's seriously pissing me off.

Driving today...probably 10 miles in and it started shaking/vibrating like hell again. I ignored it at first but it got worst and worst. I'm so pissed at this point b/c I'm throwing more and more money at this thing and it's starting to disappoint me, which is bad. The vibrating is at all speeds, and all engine strains, although the harder the engine strains, the more it's vibrating.

When I pull the clutch, and coast, at any speeds, it is smooth sailing. I swear, it feels like a V8 engine with 1 plug wire removed...I've felt that time and time again with an old Ford truck I had that kept melting plug wires on the manifold.

I know I'm not just imagining this. You can look at my pegs, and see where the rubber is SHREDDED from my boots from the past couple of weeks. This is from the excessive vibration.

I'm not trying to be a puss. I love how the bike rumbles and vibrates when it's right, but I'm not going to put my life on the line and let it fall apart on me.

All I can think to do at this point, is in the morning pull all the motor mounts, 1 at a time, clean the bolts, re-lock-tite them, and crank them back down. From there, I have no clue and I imagine I'll have to take the bike to the shop where it'll probably be a month.

If it makes any difference, I have TP rocker boxes and I can hear a lot of top end noise.

Grrr....can't help but feel ultimate disappointment.

could it be the clutch hub nut. you and they adjusted the clutch and now its shaking again. does the bike creep at a stop with the clutch pulled in. thats my only other guess.

Hi there. Well I checked the motor mounts and they are really tight. I couldn't get no more on then. As far as the clutch nut, I haven't checked it. When we adjusted the clutch, we just adjusted the clutch cable. How hard is it to check the clutch nut? I'm willing to do it.

Does it creep? No, not really. It seems like it wants to creep if I start the bike in 1st with the clutch pulled, but it never tries any other time.

the clutch hub nut is inside the primary. you basically have to take the clutch completely out and torque the nut to like 150ft/lbs and the loosen and redo to like 100ft/lbs or something. this is a typical problem and lots of threads on the issue.
