Remove " like scratches"

Hey all. 2005 with almost 90,000 miles. I have a haze, if you will, on the front of my sliders I cannot remove. I know what caused them and would like to hide them until after Spring PCB. I can't feel them and the few basic cleaners & polishers didn't help.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Let us know how it turns out.
I did the wd40 with aluminum foil idea today. Logically, I assume the foil acts like a fine grit sandpaper. Which did dull the chrome on the slider. I applied a couple coats of polishing compound and Pro40 aluminum polish. The shine is better than it was but the haze is still there. Im sure a few processes like this would return excellent results, but still not like the original appearance. Just for poops & laughs Ill try the magic eraser too. BRB
