That's why I didn't opt for them. I was looking at them pipes a year ago and ran into someone that had them and said that was the only downfall of the pipes.

I think you can get them w/o the heatshields now.

That's pretty much true. I just think that all of the cut outs on the shields it'll be pretty difficult to get all of the noise out of them. I still do like the pipes, it would also be nice if they offered a different types of heat shields.

They do look good on your bike!:2thumbs:

Thanks! I love the look, and they sound awesome!! I was going to wrap them half way with Thermal wrap, but I don't want to loose the look! So I'll try these ban's and see how it looks!

yeah Rottie...those are sweet pipes:2thumbs: when I get ready for some pipes....I think I am going to have Eric make me up a set that looks like those....but I will do it in black ceramic coat with the stainless tips.....kinda like Gas's...I already talked to Eric about it.....want to get my carb xXx first

My bolts are always coming loose!! It seems like red loctite and stainless steel bolts work better than chrome bolts. Chrome bolt with red loctite plus extreme heat at the head = SNAP

Plus the chrome ones seem to rattle loose more.

What is are these bans?

I'm going with a custom 2 into 1 Pro Pipe next week at my 500 mile service visit. Its not as 'sexy' looking as some of the pipes you guys have shown here, but they have been dyno tested to get the most power increase so far. The sound is a nice low throaty rumble. I'll post pics when I get it back next week.

You can locktight them, put bigger bolts in them and their still going to rattle!!:bang:

I gotta make a new bracket, the one that came with it wouldnt work so I made one out of some flatbar and shot it with some krylon :lol: .It dont look bad but it dont look good either.You can see it bolted to the stock mount.
