Boss Hoss & V8 Choppers
I bought a Boss Hoss new in 2003, it now has 60,000 plus on it. Awsume and very comfortable bike to ride. I also had a V8 Chopper for awhile. They are awsume garage art but nothing like a Boss Hoss to ride. They are one speed compared to the 2 speed Boss. They are ridged frame compared to the tunable shock system of the Boss. They are top heavy, a Boss is not. Most Boss owners run a car tire on the rear, cheaper to replace as I personally have gone through a tire a month during the riding season here. My Boss is a 500 hp small block versus the 502 big blocks. The tranny is the weak spot on these bikes but they have improved through the years. I am one of the lucky ones, as I have not had to rebuild yet. My rule is " play in first, cruise in second ". They go way over 100 in first so you don't need to hot rod in second. they won't take hammer down in second very long.
