No you are not alone, that's why I commented. When I first talked to him he didn't really want to take another order because he said he was at least 7 months behind and I would have to wait on those ahead of me. I said I would wait because that's what I wanted if he would still do it. Of course no one thought it would take this long.

I know it is a tough topic, but the revival of it has helped me vent and see I am not the only one in this position.

Thanks for the sympathy and advice. I may have to do the lawyer route or shut up and accept he is a crook.
Forget the lawyer! It will end up costing you more for that than the $1500 loss from Sugarbear. Visit him and talk it out. In NJ you can go to small claims court and have a judge sort it out. But who knows what California can do for you? After all you can walk in a store and steal up to $900 in goods with no ramifications :D

You are reasonably close to Sugarbear's location, 2.5 hours I believe I saw, why not take a drive/ride over and see what you can find out?? As 'Mikeinjersey' said a few posts after your post; " visit him and talk it out".

Did you meet up with Sugarbear in person when you placed your order??

I don't think a cultural icon who is having a museum built up in Sturgis is a crook, he's most likely just one busy man, at a advanced age when most folks are retired. What I find curious is that he doesn't have a protege or son or somebody who is interested in continuing on the product legacy of Sugarbear's unique / Market niche; "if it's not long it's wrong" ??

I can't understand why a man who has that much Market recognition and demand would let his product fall by the wayside as he's definitely at/past retirement age!??

That sorry sucker needs to be hauled into court and explain where the $$$ gone. Who does he think he is.....Zelenskyy? Take everybodys $$ n never produce a thing.
Pretty bold talk from an individual that just likes his freedom.....bet a few Ukrainian's wish for the same thing.....

My grandparents left Ukraine in the late 1890's due the rampant corruption. Im sure our input in the region has quelled ALL that?? Or fueled it?
Most likely your great grandparents at the least and the word was religious persecution.....the oppressed were not allowed educations and were share croppers at best......my great grand parents made the same trip at the same time......matter of fact the US saw about 15million show up around that time .....hadn't put up the "Wall" yet.

I saw a reel on Instagram of some guy bouncing a Sugarbear springer front end to demo the suspension function. Kinda trippy and one guy posted up the ' @sugarbearchoppermuseum ' link.

If you have the Instagram app you can go there and watch the three videos listed. There was talk in the videos about Sugarbear having a 100 acre ranch up there where the museum is located or going to be located.

It seems logical that a businessman who cares about his customers AND legacy would fulfill his pending(long term/years long) orders that have deposits down.....before buying 100 acres and starting some chopper museum!???

Seems there is big money involved to do a venture like that.......who's $$$$ is it, 'Avatharv' , 'Dozersticks' and who ever else that has a pending order.........or some millionaire/billionaire that digs choppers !????

Things that make you say; "huuummmmm" !!

Sugar Bear uses a long springer that seem to be on rakes of 40 to 45 degree frames. He uses the rockers to adjust the trail by moving the wheel to get the trail in the no flop range and no pogoing. It's more a function of the rockers than the springer. The only trick thing is the looks of the springer rockers.
