4 years working good. If you are replacing with Electronik's EHC, it's a good time to replace the charging system, Rotor, Stator, and Voltage Regulator. Curtis at Wildsteedworx. I have 2006 Pitbull.

www.electronicbox.de
plug and play - Axels ehc
works good and has some programmable features like flashing brake lights, and so on.
Nice gimmicks - built from top components, mounted on grommits - short circuit proof - absolutely worth his price.
. used it in my 2007 Pit bull..
I just ordered it, keep my hopes up that this will fix the issue. I think I will peel the harness cover off and check the wires and continuity on the EHC harness before buying another one. Perhaps it is just the EHC?

If you just ordered it on line without talking to Curtis, give Curtis a call. There is belief that the old charging system was spiking getting past the voltage regulator taking a some on the electronic components eventually resulting in failure. He may recommend a 32 amp charging system in lieu of the 40 amp system replacing stator, rotor, and voltage regulator. The new EHC warranty may require you to replace the charging system.

What is going on that makes you believe your EHC is failing?

I would like to see your motorcycle please. I don’t think I have & if I did I forgot… :oldhardlaugh:
:chopper:
I would love to show my bike. I don't know how to get the pictures loaded. I have them on my smart phone. I could text with photo but would need help to get them on website. I'm just behind on technology and no young ones around to show me. I can post my phone number and later delete my phone number.

Well where it says attach file with the paperclip just below this box on the left side. If you touch that it will let you load a picture. You scroll through your library and touch on the ones you want to share. They should show up right below the post you are making. Then click Full image. And hit postIMG_2302.jpeg

Mick, before I can follow your directions I believe I must transfer my photos to my computer. I've been trying but no success. I think my iphone and pc must be on the same wi-fi and they are not. I'm afraid to change my iphone to the same wi-fi as pc. I will be without a phone. I will have to call my computer service. I have detailed the bike and it looks super. Ron

Thanks for the heads up on changing the charging system

Oh its been ongoing, I had her in the shop twice and they had to reset her EHC, then she would go dead on me, I checked the ground & it was good and the breaker switches were OK. when I would press down under the seat on the harness plume, the power will come on and off. I could wiggle the EHC plug and sometimes that would work to keep me from pushing her home. I got the new EHC in from Germany, but still in the box until I find time to change it out, after I test the harness continuity. Looks like from the info you guys have given me I should figure out where to get a new charging system as well. I am at a point of just spend the money and fix it, because now I don't want to ride her more than pushing back home distance. I have other bikes, but I really enjoy the Mastiff & need her to be dependable. I am "not a mechanic", been doing my own work for 35 years, started with lawnmowers, outboard motors, minibikes, dirt bikes, trucks and cars as a kid through my journey, I work on my 1961 Trojan 34 ft boat with double 292 interceptor motors so I am willing to learn from others and appreciate all the help.

From this description my guess is you have a wiring or connector issue. If you wiggle wires and the bike runs you more than likely don't have an EHC issue. The bike vibrates which is "wiggling" the connections/ wires causing an open or short.
You need to troubleshoot more before replacing the EHC. If you don't end up needing the one you purchased you can save it or sell it.
Electronicbox is a great unit but it won't fix a bad connection. Start by pulling the connectors off the EHC and check for pins which may have been pulled back or somehow damaged . Clean and replace the dielectric grease. Push , wiggle and visually check the wires you got a response from when you said would get power to go on and off. Look at the top of your EHC for fault lights which may give you clues.

I think its a combination of the two. I have the large dark grey EHC on my 2008 Mastiff, I am at a point of just replacing the harness, EHC, and not trying to do CPR on this ongoing electrical issue. I could be wasting money, but I feel like ruling out by replacing appears to be a viable option instead of constantly breaking down.. I'll let you know how things go. The new EHC from Germany and a new backbone wiring harness appears to be the direction I want to go in. Thank you for all your wisdom and feedback.
