HOOKER FOURBIDDEN
Find someone who already runs that set up on their scoot first. I put them on my '06 K9 after waiting for over a year for Hooker to make them for RSD. The minute I got on it I wasn't too happy. First, they are wide from the frame. When you put your foot on the peg you notice it's close & hot. At a light, it's real hot on your leg which you'll also have to swing out about an extra 4" to clear them. They also are high to the stock air cleaner if you have it, like right up on the bottom of it. This isn't the greatest thing either. A little engineering & it could have been right but seems to me Hooker rushed to get RSD pipes out without the proper testing. Next on the agenda, their chrome sucks big time. Drove it in 35 degree weather when they were just installed & you would think I ordered them in Blue Chrome. I know over a little time they would blue, but 20 minutes in the cold? And my final complaint which I just noticed. The battery cover on the right side is feeling the heat. I can see & feel slight distortion in the cover from the heat. I fell in love with these pipes when they first came out & couldn't wait for the RSD version, MY BAD! The good is they are strong & LOUD.
