I'm at a loss here.......on my motor on the rear cylinder there is only a rubber hose with a filter element attached. The front cylinder's rubber hose attached to top of carb. This does make me wonder as I can feel air being pushed out through two of the rear rocker box cover bolts. When engine was tore down the hose and filter wasn't removed from the head.When you did the top end did you ensure there the check valve on the rear breather hose went back in properly?
I just removed the check valve and blew through it. It is installed in the direction to let air pass outward and restrict inward. Is this correct?
Just a thought......would incorrect rocker base gaskets create this problem?
