I took the Mastiff out today, and the headlight started going to high beam mode, all on it's own. At first, it was intermittently, but before I got home, it was staying on high beam all the time. Is it what I think it is???? If so, time for Wire Plus???

Could have swore I read on here that the high beam comes on if the low beam filament is burned out.

Check for all of the following, that can cause your issue.
1- Headlight bulb (doubtful, but may be.)
2- Headlight Bulb H4 connector melted (likely) See Service Bulletin below
3- Intermittent Headlight wiring or connectors not making good contact or connection. (possible)

Hey Thanks Dead. I have had that headlight connector replaced already. I will do some diagnostics this week and get back with ya. I am always thinking EHC when anything goes wrong. Starter is also giving me a fit, and that just started today...AFTER the high beam issues. Woe is me...it's always something. And I gotta have the Scooter running for this pending wedding. Thanks for your kind offer. I will get back in touch.!!!

The 2004 and below EHC doesn't have the logic to switch to the highbeam if an open on the lowbeam is detected...only later models.

This symptom is not a guarantee the EHC is dying, but it has happened to a few in advance....me included.

Thanks Chach..I am going to try a new Braille battery first, then tackle other issues.!!!! If it is the EHC dying, Wire Plus will be the next move. Wire Plus was going to be a future move, but time may dictate otherwise.!!!

Happy Fathers Day Chach

Mine was the high beam circuit. Over 3,000 miles since & no problems with the wp.
