Pro, good to know your OK, I hope you stay that way sometimes the pain takes a few days to show up.
Sounds like the scoot took a pretty good hit and even if things look ok sometimes they are not. I would work very closely with the shop your taking it to and also you might want to talk with Bigdog and have the shop contact them especially if they are not up to speed with our baby's.

Looking forward to retirement
Kickstart brings up a really good point that the insurance company can not object to. Trailer the bike over to Bigdog in Witchita and leave it. Since they do not have dealers you are bringing it back to the ONLY qualified shop. Let Matt look at it. Ed is doing paint work for Matt so Matt can take everything off and send it to Ed. This would be the smart move. BTW: glad your Ok.

I can't take the time to drive it all the way there and back and I highly doubt they'll cover that.

Can't find a Denver Customs...out of biz or is the name different? There are a small handful of custom chopper shops here in town and only one has a rep worth dealing with.

Don't worry too much there buddy I went through the same thing about this time last year. Most ins companies don't have adjusters for what they call "custom motorcycles" they usually just take the estimate you give them from the shop that you want the repairs done by and cut you a check. Take it to a custom streetrod/custom bike painters shop. Have them include the retail cost of a new tire and the cost to repair the damage including the $ you spent having a tech inspect the bike. You shouldn't have any problems. Just have the repair shop be very specific have them list labor and materials separately also have the in lied an hour labor to have a tire put on at a tire shop as well as the labor to pull and install the rear wheel. Have them List everything you can see wrong no matter how small it all adds up.

Yep, that's what I've been told thus far. @liferider suggested I call the guy he's been posting about. He's a great guy and has the laser tools to measure the bike to make sure it's still true. He said he'd replace the entire rear wheel assembly and the tire since it's really hard to see if billet is cracked without x-rays. He said they'd just do whatever he says since they don't want to be the ones to say 'no, don't replace that' and then me have an issue down the road and come after them big time.

Biggest issue will be finding the parts. If I can't source the new parts (they won't let me use used parts) they'll total the bike. That wouldn't be a bad deal I guess as I'd make them pay me for every aftermarket part on top of book value and then I'd keep the bike and fix it myself.
