Donna and Derek have new starters with a new and improved billet nose much better off getting new rather than rebuilding, a lot of the rebuilt ones don't have the proper pinion gear and splash washers

Search on eBay big dog starter they have listings too and fast shipping 2-3 days their parts arrive to me always!
Yes great customer service ! Dereck saved me 400 $ with his advice on a repair rather than buying a new part from them :old2:

My guess would be import vs US made and the heat treating process is not third world but more like 2.0 kind of almost there.
And the raised compression part I'm confused about. Nature filling a void is all even @14.7. Same number if the bike was not started and there sits the same number still @14.7. If you ever played with vacuum gauges that read in these units of pressure, the needle locks to 760mmHg. This is occurring under sustained speeds. If the bike is turned off, that vac gauge needle sits @0. If I WOT the throttle, that needle moves right back to 0.

So unless you can explain MORE AIR entering the chamber, or was this more a SPEED EVENT occurring the more you open the throttle. I have to assume the same number closes on the intake valve no matter the rpm, but the 'air entry' happened faster was all. Make any kind of sense?
