To each his own, right!yes, the K9250 was, in the truest sense of the word, a redheaded stepchild.

I did a quick search and found the sockets here.I would have preferred to go that way but the light bulb connector & wiring fell apart inside the housing. Since I cant find a replacement for that I thought the LEDs were the way to go. Kinda rethinking that plan!
Yep, switched these https://www.jpcycles.com/product/30...mount?redirectedKeyword=306-806&totalResult=1 wired them up and never had an issue.Ask @bdm7250 i believe he changed his wife’s early model ironhorse Tejas to led lighting he would know and I’m betting it’s the same as or similar to what you have going on
Wow news to me on those. The 2011 K9 250's came stock with the 1157 two element bulb setup, along with HD style controls & primary. My problem is not with the existing 3 wire set up it is with the 4 wires on the new led lights. I'm starting to think what I bought will not work with my existing wiring or at least not with my knowledge base!.
Did you have the bulbs before you switched?Yep, switched these https://www.jpcycles.com/product/30...mount?redirectedKeyword=306-806&totalResult=1 wired them up and never had an issue.
Update:
Drilled & tapped fender strut hole & installed heli-coil for new tail lights, no issues.
Problem: Existing tail light/blinker harness is 3 wires & not LED. K9 250's have the 1157 style bulb set up. The new Kellerman Bullet 1000 DF's have 4 wires. I have determined which are the ground & blinker wires, both new & existing. That leaves with a new grey w/ white stripe & a grey w/ red stripe wire. I connect the new grey w/ white stripe to the existing red wire & the red halo ring comes about half power which makes me believe it's the running light. When I connect the grey w/ red stripe wire to the red wire or the blinker wire the red halo ring gets very bright telling me that wire is probably for the brake light function. The problem is it goes bright red as soon as I connect it so when I apply the brakes it doesn't get any brighter.
Any & all ideas are appreciated.
YesDid you have the bulbs before you switched?
Or just buy 3 wire signals like I did.So I will assume that you have the 3 in 1 light for the rear? If this is the case it is designed to have a turn, brake and tail light all separate signals. In our bikes the brake and turn are the same wire. Connect the tail light to the light wire, then I would tie the turn and brake together:
Rear
Strip the four connecting cables on lamp and vehicle for about 10mm each. Twist the positive vehicle turn signal wire to the yellow wire of m-Blaze edge, insert it into the supplied crimp terminal and crimp. Repeat this step for black m-blaze edge wire with vehicle earth, brown m-blaze edge wire with rear light and red m-blaze edge wire with brake light.
Not sure exactly what model you got but it should be the same as above.
Yes
Or just buy 3 wire signals like I did.

Ran the wires right back to the plug, although I went with Adjure signals on the front, they are very small and the match the Adjure headlight bucket..For the front lights did you just cut the wires and solder them back with hear shrink or did you run them back to the plug under the gas tank?
I took my front lights apart and the right light has a brown wire and the left light has a purple wire. That is all there is and they are just grounded inside the housing and where they attach to the triple tree. I bought the Chris lights and each light has one brown, one purple and one black. They will not light up no matter how I connect them.Ran the wires right back to the plug, although I went with Adjure signals on the front, they are very small and the match the Adjure headlight bucket..
Front signals are just signals, not running lights. I ran my ground on the front signals very short with an eye connection and it goes to the base of the mounting bolt. As I said these are Adjure signals.I took my front lights apart and the right light has a brown wire and the left light has a purple wire. That is all there is and they are just grounded inside the housing and where they attach to the triple tree. I bought the Chris lights and each light has one brown, one purple and one black. Can anyone give me some help or suggestions?
Thanks
Kellerman being made in German most likely has m/m thread?Yea thats the same way mine operate. It looks like you have a mounting bracket that bolts on to the front forks. I am trying to figure out the best way to mount mine. If I had a threaded stud I could still mount the front lights on the bottom of the triple tree just like the old ones. The problem is the old stud does not fit in the new housings. I think is is just the type of threads it has because it starts to screw in but stops after about a turn. I may have to tap either the housing side or in the triple tree I have the same problem in the rear.
Did you have this problem?
I wouldn't change the thread pitch on/in the bike. I would change it on the lights. If you want to go back to stock it would be a hassle.Kellerman being made in German most likely has m/m thread?
No, I bought standard thread signals, as Tapio says you've most likely got metric. There are lots of options for mounts, here's an exampleYea thats the same way mine operate. Same issue I had with my rear tail lights from Kellerman. The bolt was the right diameter but the threads where off a bit. I opted to drill out the existing threads & tap new ones for a heli coil with the proper thread pitch.Yea thats the same way mine operate.
