It's the exact same battery as the original. I talked to the manufacturer directly and they told me they slap a harley or deka sticker depending on where they are shipping it tooUsually just pick up a new battery when needed form local Harley dealer, perfect fit, about 89 bucks, works well but does not last near as long as original.
Throttle X..My battery is a few years older and it will not hold a charge so it is time for a new one. What are your opinions on the best one on the market now?
Andy, Andy, Andy .... You know three guys with the Throttle X.. Oh boy are you gonna get an earful on this..Thanks fellas! I do not know anyone else that has the X rated battery so I went with the Deka. I got it on Amazon for $89.95 with free shipping.
I think the throttlex is a re-branded Deka just by looking at the terminals. There are only like 3 battery manufactures in the US so not much options.Andy, Andy, Andy .... You know three guys with the Throttle X.. Oh boy are you gonna get an earful on this..
Y’all waited too long to tell me so that is your fault !Andy, Andy, Andy .... You know three guys with the Throttle X.. Oh boy are you gonna get an earful on this..
Good to know!O'Reilly auto parts sells their branded battery, but it is in fact a Deka. They're $104 locally and you can usually find a 20% off coupon online. Needed oneSaturday--my 7 year old Braille (yep) finally died and we were going for a ride. So in a pinch, for an extra $15 at worst, O'Reilly has the Deka made battery in the 20lb.
And I don't know how you guys are finding a Harley one for $90. I called them out of curiosity and they wanted $159
My original battery from the factory lasted over 10 years! Now that’s a battery!I think the throttlex is a re-branded Deka just by looking at the terminals. There are only like 3 battery manufactures in the US so not much options.
Also, I get 540 Cranking Amps out of my 1 year old Walmart battery and 450 out of the 3 year old Braille. The Walmart battery typically craps out around year 1 so I wouldnt recommend it even though it puts out more amps. I used to recommend the Walmart one until it religiously craps out right around 12months haha. Although it's cheaper only about $60, think the Deka is still a better value and just replace it every 2 years. I don't know why people hold onto their batteries for too long, just makes for a bad day for a cheap part. Hell for $90 replace it every year and never have to worry! I don't trailer, so I can't chance a battery not worth it

Thanks EZ!A throttle X battery interminably shorted out during our ride at the Kansas 11 year gathering and took out my tack, Speedo sensor and headlight. Not good. They did replace it for free no questions asked after me having it four months but repairs were 1K and he’ll for diagnose. I use the new Throttle X to power my trailer lights. No
way will it ever see the dog again....
