Cool. Thanks for the info. Do you have any info on how the 08 EHC has changed from the 05-07 unit and if it will be upgradeable for us?It's a totaly sealed multi-layered board. There are not exposed traces, there is a potting compound on the solder points and also to seal around the base of the connectors. The harness is also reinforced with heat shrink for additional support. All that, with the addition of dielectric grease and there is no moisture penetration point. It's not a bad design.

Great info Ohmster, but I don't understand how the 04 models can use the newer harness cause of the two serial plugs vice only one on earlier models.The 08 EHC is usable on all 2005 models and up. With the adapter board it is now usable on the 2004 models. The biggest change for the mid 07 - 08 EHC is the diagnostic software with the USB cable. The software, if properly used can help diagnose a failure, whether it is an input or internal and clock when the failure occured.
Also, the overall internal workings of it is a much more robust design.
