Just got the call from Bigdog. They said since I put a belt drive on my bike, the powertrain warrentee is over. Otherwise, they would have. I have to pay for the new EHC all on my own. They said your now on your own. Well I am now not a big fan or will ever reccomend them again. It's a sad shame. I am in with anyone that wants to sue, start a class action lawsuit. I will look into it on my end. This defect is to widespread for them to say screw you. Bigdog is now just another low level over priced bike company.

I dont tell them anything they dont need to know.

Damn if I knew you needed a EHC and you had to pay for it I could have given you the hommy Hook UP

Maybe not a free be because someone has to pay for shipping and handling:cheers:

I have had my bike being a paper weight at times but in black and white you have to know what voids the warrenty and dont let them know you did it

I put in a new EHC I had to wait 2 months to get it I installed it in about 2 hours you have to drill 2 new holes but all in all it was a pretty easy fix. I went all out and took off my gas tank and put heat shrink wraps over all my connectors then taped them then put on electric glue. I then did the same with all the connectors by my EHC. Just want to be safe. Only thing I can say abou the new EHC is it is big seems my seat doesnt fit properly

I took my bike to a certified Bigdog repair shop and they ratted me out. Thats how they found out. That was the first time the EHC went out. Luv my bike, don't like the company.

It was lifestyles in anaheim california. They now are no longer a bigdog repair shop. Everyone, do not shop here. If we lived in a 3rd world country, I could just bomb them and then go have a beer. :2thumbs:

Reading this post does not give me a warm and fuzzy over this electrical system.Since my bike is out of warranty anyway I was thinkin about just putting in something that is worth a crap in the first place instead of trying all these fixes to a substandard system to make it work.Im sure there is plenty of custom bikes using the S&S motors that have a good wiring setup.Any ideas on a system that is good to begin with that I could install on the ol Dog?

2004 bulldog here. On my 3rd EHC, still in shop. Had to fight pretty hard to get them to replace it.

Not sure what the fight is about guess my dealer really wants me to buy a new one from him so they back their product and want me to keep them as #1
