Bypassing your EHC

Energy One

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
I have an 04 frame with the 107 EFI, can I bypass the thunderheart system. Has no fire to the plugs and the coil tested good? It’s a Mastiff. But I’m not sure how to bypass it. But it’s driving me crazy don’t know exactly what to do. My 310cca isn’t strong but it will turn over good time , enough to start the bike but no spark

First off, just because it says 310cca on the battery, doesn't mean it is. We recommend the Deka battery for these bikes, and clean your starter solenoid contacts often.
As for your ignition module, we don't see them go bad very often. More than likely it's the cam sensor in the nose cone, or a broken wire between there and the module.

There is no c sensor in the nose cone. The man I bought the bike from says it is ran in the thunderheart stage 2 security with the key fob. Which I didn’t know they did that. I have the deka battery. But the nose cone is empty

It has the thunder max ignition module under the seat. I know nothing about it. I need to know if I can put another sensor in the cone if so I will

Yes I know I’m thinking g about getting rid of the thunder max system and getting the dyna pick ups and coil system and ignition. Key. At least it will run again. I know nothing about the thunder max

Was is a simple task, what all did you need to do to change it over. And what about the EFI PUMP. Just so I know what to get and have so I can get the old off and the new in

Is your bike a 2004? I believe the 2004 and older have a cam sensor pickup in the nose. 2005 and newer use a crank sensor. Hopefully someone familiar with the thunder max system comes along.

If you bike is a EFI then it doesnt have a 107 engine...it has a 117 engine and with that being said it doesnt have a nose cone cam sensor it will have a crank sensor which is on the other side of the motor on the front of the motor right at the end of the oil filter housing

If the photo he has in his profile is indication it looks like a’02/‘03 BigDog to me. Definitely LSD. Has the weird forward kickstand. Old style controls. I’m guessing it’s a 107 myself. Strange about the EFI however. Was thinking all the ‘04 & earlier were carbureted. Maybe he should post a few pics of exactly what he’s got so everyone can see instead of guessing… :2cents:

Ok I will get more photos but the title says it’s a 2015 but the guy said it was a 107 on a 04 frame said the engine was from a 2011 or 2012. That is what he said. I lined it so I got it anyway. He said he had it 10 yrs. Has 7000 miles on it he said he ride it and the next day he was going to ride but it would not start. So that is where I stand. He had the thunder max with key fob , stage 2. He lost the key and had to get whole new unit so he got the stage 2 thunderheart thundermax set up. Now you know what I was told. I have the new deka batt on it and turns over but no fire

I don’t know… I’m pretty sure that no ‘04 bikes had the forward kickstand. Definitely the mastiff did not…Is this a bike he built himself from scratch? Here’s a ‘03/ ‘04. IMG_9728.jpegIMG_9729.jpeg

It appears to be a product of this and that he had around the shop and built a bike. I’m confused about how you get a 2015 title with a 04 frame. Some things just don’t add up. Best of luck
