I'm curious. When you turn on the key....what lights up on the EHC? If nothing at first, then when it does finally power up, what lights come on then? Maybe try jiggling the wires on the EHC and battery. Sounds to weird.

Nothing lights up at all at first after you walk away for a couple of minutes everything turns on just like normal. The red ehc comes on ready to start all tach and running lights just like normal. The bike starts fine like nothing happened but it has stumbled at idle and lights cut out for a moment. But when you shut off the key you have to go through the same thing again no power until Spike want's to play again. Maybe scared when I booked Sturges Idont know.

AWG I have wiggled pulled tightened and probed everything on this bike even made sure the oil pressure switch was working.
Man I dont know but it's time to call up some heavy hitters at Arlen Ness I think. Gotta Ride.....

Red EHC comes on? You mean the ignition module light?

Also it hasn't been asked if you have an EHC or after market computer system?

When power is turned on you get one red lyt on the ehc prior to start. The EHC is stock I have owned this one from early 07.
This bike is virtually untouched from the way bigdog built it I tried to think of something but they did it right the first time.
When this thing decides to play everything works like factory all lights on EHC,ignition module,speedo everything.I dont want to bother
all of you I have a n apointment at Arlen ness here in cali they were a big dealer for a long time I am confident they can figure out what I have'nt been able too. My new moto is going to be WTF

Load test ?

Right. You have to do a load test. Not just a standing voltage test.

I know you are taking it to some heavy hitters!
Have you checked your headlight harness connection in the bucket? Mine had melted and gave me similar issues to yours .

Your right Paul. Sometimes we forget about those little things like that. Melted headlight plug will definitely cause that problem.

When i bought my blue bike in 2011 that what was doing it to mine was the headlight harness...it was causing all kind of issues...i like to drove myself crazy trying to figure it out...hope this is ur case super easy fix
