I had one i taped off and the painted over that with liquid mask .. Filled tank with acetone. Well some seeped out of pitcock and the paper masking tape wicked it up... Damaged some paint on lower edge of tank .
Bummer .. Further pain was acetone didn't touch the liner .. it set for two days
I'd send it out .. lot cheaper then new paint.
A couple well respected people on this forum suggested not trying what I did. And to just run it and flush as needed.. Only problem i was having was a pin hole leak in one of the tank mount pockets. And the liner kit i purchased claimed it would span such issues and solve the leak. I had tried sealers, epoxy etc.
