General questions for 03 chopper

I have a 05 chopper w no dip stick...I just maintain a visual oil level in tank...w bike level..visually look in tank...I've always kept mine roughly 3/4 full,visually...as long as oil level us above return lines on side of tank...I've had zero oil issues This way...w a tank it's hard to have too much oil but very easy to not have enough...hope this helps

Okay not looking over what everyone said about the oil. But here is what the 03 owners manual says, 3 quarts fill to 1.5 inches below rear lip oil cap opening, 20W50 V-TWIN oil. I use a K&N filter I get at custom bike shop that I get all my oils from. I have a hard copy of the manual, so if you need any other things I can help you with let me know. Steve 314 452-5565

Thanks Steve, 1.5 inches matches the other replies. I found pdf copy. Wow! Those manuals are really vague!

I have to say, I'm not impressed with the PM caliper either, no dust ring. The dirt and moisture goes directly into the cylinder. For such an expensive supposedly " top of the line part" the engineering is mediocre at best in my opinion.
