I think you’re right Steven, 150 bucks an hour. I could put that $3400 toward doing what coolbreezin did and and get rid of the HCM. The tech at Rottweiler is taking Thursday and Friday off so I have four days to think about it.

So I am curious if you have discussed hard wiring your bike and all that’s involved in the process with the tech? $150 a hour! I’m in the wrong business!! Lol :oldhardlaugh:

I have a different guy in mind for that discussion. RMC has a lot of very nice customs in their show room with no price tags. Museum?

Knothead, yeah that is the going rate around here. I think it is more like $150/hr at all the bike shops around here.
Thats freaking ridiculous....i guess i need to go up on my price cause i do harness, ehc and stator change for 500.00 labor...i can do it in a day...so they are making 1600.00 a day basically...holy shit...im sorry guys thats prices are that high...

This is why alot of people just say the hell with it im not fixing it if i have to pay that much and then the worst thing happens to the bike, it will get stripped or shoved in a corner forever

I’m going to go pick the bike up from RMC tomorrow and then sit on it a while and decide whether to upgrade it or hardwire it. From reading a lot of old posts, I know that hardwiring is a touchy subject. After the bike going dark on me twice while riding, being a grease spot on the grill of a log truck is a pretty touchy subject too. Neither option is ideal, but upgrading the bike seems to be the easiest. For now I’ll just be the guy on the sporty or the Suzuki Bandit. Grrrr.

I'm with Knot. $500 max for doing all that.
I know you noticed the 1800 in parts price...they marked that at least 350 bucks over there cost and that depends if they get the 175.00 stator kit or the compfire for 325...if they order the lesser priced one then thats another 150 mark up to make there total 1800.00...freaking ridiculous...i mean hell at 10% mark up, which is what most do and thats fair, would be 110.00 to 140.00 over cost of parts...damn so to do that job they are making 2000.00 in one day...freaking crazy

Thanks guys that makes the decision a little easier. It’s funny, I paid another $10,000 to my daughters divorce attorney yesterday. I called her and she was all depressed about the divorce pre-trial, and that her Prius brakes were acting up. I told her I’d say a prayer. I talked to her today and the attorneys had gotten together and canceled the pre-trial and all the sudden her Prius brakes are working fine. You can bet I just said a prayer for the garage queen.

Anywhere around is is at least $150 for car, truck or bike. That would be at a local mom & pop or a dealership. It does suck. Wish I was back in the Midwest or east where prices were more reasonable. I try to do most everything I can my self. Jusme, I know you can buy the parts yourself and RMC will put the parts on. That would save you a little bit if you decided to go that route.

Your Daughter’s Divorce Attorney is a rip off. You could’ve bought another Big Dog! My friend got a divorce here in Louisiana for about $500.00 dollars.

Are you always paying too much and just used to it?

Dude, they have destroyed my state. I picked up my big dog this morning. Didn’t pay a dime. I paid that much for the attorney because this little bastard is trying to take my daughters house away from her and her two kids. He’s a big shot for Starbucks and I plan on wiping the floor with him. I’ll pay whatever it takes. What would you do?

338 Lapua Magnum, 308 or knife should solve the problem at a huge discount. Why would any judge take the kids from the mom. Sounds like she lives in the wrong state. Alligators solve a lot of problems too.
