it is 07 bulldog. It has wireplus system. Bike has been park for over a year. It is wont hold idle now. I have drained old fas and put in new 91oct gas. New battery. New spark plugs. I have remove and clean injector. Make sure all connections are tight. And still it wont hold idle. It wont start by itself, i have to move the throttle a little bit then it start but in about 5-10 seconds its die off. Any advices or suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like it might be the Throttle Position Sensor either out of adjustment or bad. Not sure what ECM you have on that bike but if it is the S&S you can pull the trouble codes with Pro Tune Software and that will tell you where the issue lies.

it is S&S. Thanks. Do you know where to get pro tune? Im going to do a search on that. Again thanks.
i dont know how to post a video on here but i have a video of me tryiing to start it on fb group. I do think it has something do to with TPS.

Sitting for awhile, I'd check compression for possible stuck ring. Since the plugs are out, sparkplug leads away from the sparkplug hole, crank and see if a mist shoots out of the plug holes. This shows there is fuel out of the injectors, now check compression.

Fuel-spark-compression are the 3amigos. Shows it sparks, has compression, has to narrow down to the fuel. Fuel being a low pressured pump output, clogged fuel filter.

Hi Sven.
Bike will star, just wont idling and shut off in about 5-10 sec. Or when i move the throttle it will die. Im leaning more about issue w fuel pump or tps like 41bigdawg recommned. Im going to remove the tank and clean it really well and inspect for any possible failure parts first. If it still has issue then i guess tps, temp sensor or map sensor.

S&S dont have that cable anymore. Could you show me how to connect to the vfi unit
Check the port on the vfi. S&S used two different types, a 9-pin serial and a mini-usb. Being an '07, I'm guessing it's the 9-pin. Did you download the protune manual?

yeah it is the 9-pin. Got Protune and manual. I had call S&S this morning and they longer make the 9-pin cable. I order a 9-pin cable off Amazon. don't know if it will work.

Hey Johnie,,

Well as far a pump, that has to be hooked up to a pressure gauge and show high mid 40's for pressure. The TPS, you can always disconnect the TPS and see if the redundant took care of it.

IAP controls mid to heavy loads.
TPS sensor controls low to mid loads.

So if the TPS fails it uses the signal of the IAP to make the calc. So a vise verse would work if the other sensor fails. Kind of see the backup?

Any serial port cable will work.
The serial port to USB are very finicky however.

They work best on a serial port to serial port (old computer) interface.

Also, be careful who you take advice from, there is some bad advice and information being posted here.

Hey Its Terry from the fb post, try the crank sensor, pressure regulator like I mentioned there.

I download the software. will call s&s to order cable on Monday. Thanks guys
Depending on what vfi you have you should be able to use either a USB to c-type plug or a USB to mini plug but if it's a 9 pin serial port type you'll need a USB to 9 pin adapter type cable. Which you can find off of Amazon or ebay.
