I think my black faced 1.5" oil pressure gauge (oil filled) came from Drag Specialties. It looks like the Autometer.

Just another plug for using the oil pressure fitting vice the tappet screen. You guys will find that when you are cleaning the tappet screen every few thousand miles that having to re-seal all the fitting on the pressure gauge is going to get old.

If you use the pressure gauge fitting (all same size) then you can easily pull and clean your tappet screen! :D

Just my 2 cents,
Ray

so what is the pressure reading supposed to be? ball park? I want one of these but if I don't recognise a problem if it shows one up then not a lot of point.

There available in any of the major parts catalogs. V-Twin, J&P, Drag Specialty's and Custom Chrome.
Chopper Dave posted the stock number on pg 3 of this thread.

Cold weather... cold oil = 30-40 psi till it gets warm. Then 20. On a hot day in traffic... as low as like 7-10

Throttle plays a big roll as well.

Tattoo at Hardcore Customs is great to work with. Vickie turned me on to him. That's where I buy my S&S oil filters. I use the blackface Autometer guage and I think it looks cool because it matches my Speedo perfectly and has a steady needle when the engine is running.
