Just jumpin in here....got the auto meter guage 2173, not liquid filled and according to autometer they don't make a 1 1/2" liquid filled guage...
All the liquid filled ones I can find have the rubber plug....which is NG according to Gas....will the autometer guage w/out the liquid work, if not, any specific liquid filled guages that you guys reccommend w/out the rubber plug...or at least one that holds up with the plug......

Another round please
The Black faced autometer that I have is oil filled and looks like (font, needle and all) our speedos.

Things to watch for.

Get oil filled
Try to get one WITHOUT the rubber plug. They are known to burn out or just pop out like my first sifton one did. Sifton USE to be made in the USA but are now china junk and mine was as I spoke about in my thread Dave linked.

But as I said... poof it was gone.. the filled oil in the gauge leaking all over my motor
Gas. I want exactly what you have. You have part #"s? Any info would be greatful. :2thumbs:

No problem...
Lee....in Gas's thread ...he has the part # for the gauge and then you need the fitting kit to go with it.....that part # is in there also.....its like $8.99
for the fitting kit...

Thanks ChopperDave (by the way your bike looks sick), I forgot about GM's original post. So I checked the Auto meter site part number 2173 is reflected as a fuel gauge, not an oil pres guage. Although in the install instructions it says it can be used as an oil pres guage. Doesnt say if it's still liquid filled, but it has a 12 mon. warranty.
