Oil leak,any help to narrow it down?

If you are referring to the oil in the primary then the would argue that the oil does run up!!!

Ray, what manual is that starter diagram from?
I don't have that in my 06!

Also... Does 3 include a seal or is the seal just the sealed bearing inside?
I'll take better pictures when I take my starter completely apart this time.

No shit? I thought that the only thing metric on this bikes were the 10mm bolts that come with the batteries. Is this an American made part?

The starter is made by Denso, a Japanese company. They take a starter for a dry application, like Kubota garden tractors, and bore out the hollow pinion shaft sleeve to accpt a seal so the starter pinion shaft can run in a wet application. Even an authorized Denso service shop around here does not have access or information on this modification or the parts to rebuild it. It looks like only Big Dog has access to the info or the seal itself. :bigreddogk9:

It's from the 05-06 manual. All 05 and newer use this starter. It's a Baker/BDM RSD design.
