My pants don't even come close to the belt, no way that my boot will hit the belt. My riding buddy has a 4 inch belt drive on his sled for over 15 years and he says that he has never caught his pant legs in the belt. This a 2006 Mastiff.

I ran a 3 3/8 belt for years on my 03 chopper, and never got my pants leg in it.

You'd need pants like these for them to get into the belt.

So guys i have a 3" BDL fitted to my Cycle and the starter often doesnt engage, if i rock the cycle back n forward in gear it then engages. I'm led to believe i require a Jack Shaft that will eliminate this issue also i'm thinking of fitting a front guard to the open primary as it does like to grab my boot now and again nothing drastic but hey. My last question is does a 3" open primary put to much strain on the crank
