True story, big dog stopped making their own frames for a while and used Daytek mainly, rolling thunder on some of their pro streets.. they lost a lot of money with these recalls.

So after reviewing the title under make is says Rigi, which the previous owner thought was for Ridgeback. And make is custom. So custom rigid. Not a big dog. Thanks for helping me get this info guys! I'll be looking more into its make etc. till then going to fix the looks and get her road worthy over the winter come spring I'll be out and about

I am new to the site and pretty much my first time to enter a discussion forum. Few years back I bought a, (pink slip says year is 2016), and make is a SPCN.
It resembles a K-9.
All over the bike it says it is a Big Dog.
It has a RevTec 88 motor though..
Looking through the history of K9's 2005 through 2016, it doesn't show any 88ci / 1440cc for this bike.
Reading GoatBoys issues, I am quite curious what I have. There is a metal plate sticker under the seat that says Replacement Identification Number, that does not show up on any VIN #s check on the internet. Metal sticker says its a State of California label. License plate and RIN match to the pink's numbers.
I love my bike and its CAF.

Thank you, I was incorrect in saying this bike says Big Dog all over it. I have a Big Dog basket-case bike with all Big Dog parts on it or in a box. With a double downtube frame.
I am going to get some pics of my '2016' SPCN in here. Frame downtube is my pic to the left.
Are those your two bikes in your pic? Nice K-9s!
Thanks again!

Dent.... Let's not go there or we will have to dig up all the threads on the BD frames cracking!
Is this all the frames that BD used or just the ones that BD made? I think I read something about 2003 RT frames cracking. My concern is I have a 2005 DT frame and whether I should be worried about it cracking...

The 88 Revtec is actually not a bad motor and made decent power. The first generation 100 cc engines had many cranks go bad by 5,000 miles.
